so i have a 2015 s4 s tronic , and it seems when its cold out , on cold start i have a bit of a flywheel rattle , until it warms up , it goes away if i move into drive , and returns when its in park or n , when the car is warmed up a bit it goes away . i remember my 2011 evo and my cla 250 both had similar issues with the dsg trans in them . never really heard it on the s4 til now . the car just turned 50k miles and every thing else has been fine stage 2 for around 30k miles , i talked to my buddy at the dealer he said never heard of dsg issues ...lol

I literally had this exact same thing, I could even force it to happen when warm if I lightly pressed the throttle and lifted, so in stationary and in Park at maybe 1,100rpm then lift. Would chatter..sounded like clutch chatter but knew it was impossible cause it’s a dsg and it’s not same concept as a light weight flywheel chatter issue.

So I knew it wasn’t the dsg, I found my exhaust bellows weak and think dropped the internal sleeve. I cut them out and welded in a set of dual ply wire braided flex tubes..no more issue since. This issue was last year..
