    Broken tubing repair

I'm in the process of teardown for a carbon cleaning and while trying to move some tubing under the intake manifold for gaining access to a fuel injector, the tubing cracked and broke clean. I think the brittle plastic exposed to thousands of heat cycles made it brittle and easy to break. Can this tubing be repaired? I was thinking of using some shrink wrap to join the broken section. I'm guessing this is a low pressure air tube??

    Any suggestions? Thank you!

Replace it with OE. How many miles? If it's over 60k might want to replace the t'stat, pump and water pipe while you have access. All that plastic has a high typical failure.

It has 130k miles. I'll be replacing the thermostat but was going to leave the pump. I suppose I can do that too.

But this plastic hole will be a pain to remove at each end. The rear connector is tough to work loose. I'm afraid if I pull on it too hard something else will break.

What is this tube for? Vacuum or pressure?
