    RNSE code retrieval

I have a 2006 A4 B6 Cabriolet for seven years. I would like to replace the RNSE because mine is bad. I have found several but they do not have any codes with them. They do provide the donor car VIN. I have a genuine RossTech HexCan cable and VCDS. My question is, can I replace my RNSE with one that only has the VIN provided and can I do it myself with my existing cable? Is there a guide for the VCDS portion anywhere?
    Thank you.

Only way to get the radio code is from the dealership.

Skip the dealership. Every time I've gone through a dealership for a radio code, they've tried to charge me an hour of labor to look it up. If you call the Audi Customer Service line, they'll look it up and give it to you for free.

This. You will need the VIN from your car and the AUZ number from the radio. You can either call or do it via chat on the Audi site. It's free.

Turn on the radio. It will be at the bottom. Code that starts with AUZ...
