Is this intentional? I remember a while back, vendors had a place to post but it seems they kind of have free roam. Seeing this across many of the boards but not sure if policy has changed.

Plus 2. Said more bluntly frankly, I would suggest AZ get out of the biz as it were on the D body boards if it continues like this.

Yep, ads run amok comparatively too, and it unfortunately seems obvious either $ are talking or lack of inertia leave it static. Owners drive content from which you sell ads. No content and then all it devolves to is a bunch of ad guys looking at each other. The lack of content is making the ad situation really stand out too. Also being direct, the AW boards for D3 and D4 have probably 50x the traffic the D board does here. And as probably the leading poster on USA oriented D boards in general, honestly I think I have a decent sense of it. On D2 or D3, QW probably mops up the majority of what is left. Not a real player on D4, though more than AZ. Not critical mass here on AZ as it stands, on any D body.

And on the other hand, the AZ C7 board is far more active than the various hodgepodge of boards that cover the C7 on AW. Good so far. Yet, AZ seems to have just essentially made the same mistake on the C7 board that AW did--oversegmenting the board. With the 4.0T subboard recently implemented on AZ, the AZ posts are getting confused and scattered already. The roll out of the 4.0T turbo issues now arising more commonly is a great case in point. Even with the 4.0T separate sub board, most of the good posts, replies and info on the turbo failures are still coming out and being posted on the more general board. And meantime, with shoe on other foot to reinforce the thesis, if you look on AW, they have the RS7, S7 and S6 likewise all scattered on separate boards, plus the same mixing with the A7 and S7, respectively. And predictably, post volume and content are both meaningfully down on AW from here on AZ.

Net, fish or cut bait on D boards. Give up on the 4.0T C7 sub board and re merge them.

Well, since this has been up here for more than 3 months with no response, I'll assume this is intentional and move on to other forums.

Do you realaize that there probably not a lot of A8 owners on this forum? That is why the sub forum is so slow. Do we need the sub forum. Probably not. But it’s a model line that is offered by AoA and we want to include every model

I do realaize it isn't the most active board. Perhaps the best way to attract owners is to saturate it with advertisements.

I actually read this thread shortly after you posted it, but wanted to take the time to personally respond...which I've obviously had a hard time doing. Apologies.

We've begun instituting some changes and new limits on vendor posts, which were really aimed for helping with more of the semi-active sections like B9 A4/S4 and A3/S3. With super slow sections (which are typically the lower volume models like A8/S8 and R8) it's been more difficult to come up with a good solution. I'll also admit it hasn't been high on the priority because of this. I'm still trying to come up with the best solution for all involved.
