Hi, i am driving from Denver to NY. I spent the eve at a hotel in Wadsworth OH just outside Akron.
I got in my car to leave and clutch went right to the floor. The car has shown zero issues and clutch seemed absolutely fine. This has completely caught me off guard and I do not have any tools with me.

I am praying that it is either the slave or clutch master cylinder but hoping to hear peoples experience with this so I can prepare myself.

Master and slave have been ordered from worldpac. They should be here by noon.

Where do i start? Is there ANYTHING i can do to rule out thats the clutch went??

Damn, that’s unfortunate. Did you try lifting the pedal by hand, does it stay up? Did you try pumping it a few times, what’s the result?

This sounds like a failure in either the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder. You could also have a leak in the system, but it would have to be after the master cylinder or it would affect the brakes as well. The only other culprit that I can see would be the clip that holds the hard line into the slave cylinder on the transmission. I guess the clip could work itself loose and upon pressing the clutch, you would relieve all that pressure on to the top of the transmission. If you can, crawl underneath there to see if there is anything leaking. Also if you have somebody with you try to bleed the clutch first. If you can get a little bit of pressure buildup in the clutch, you may be to drive it to a more suitable location for repairs.

I live around Akron. I don't have much mechanical know-how but if you need to borrow a simple tool send me a PM. I have a a basic tool set in the garage.

Alternatively, if you're going to get it towed to a shop you are close to Autobahn service center. They are usually quite busy so I'm not sure if they'd be able to get you going today. Try calling.

A little bit farther from you in Parma is German Auto Pros. They are fantastic and my favorite shop in the area.

Looks like i might just need a fluid flush. I guess there could be moisture in the system
