ODB Eleven for Prestige with DAP

    Hey guys,

I know there are a lot of ODB Eleven fans out there and I've been doing research on what is customizable for our B9s. What I am having a hard time gathering is for those of you that own a Prestige with DAP, what customizations have you done? Do you find that the purchase was worth it? For me, I would need to purchase an Android device and the unit itself so I am trying to cost justify it. BTW, if there was a way to disable the "grab the steering wheel" prompt when using DAP, I'd make purchase today. In North Carolina there are a lot of super straight roads and the "grab the wheel" alert every 10-seconds drives me mad.

I look forward to your thoughts!

I promise you there is no way to disable the 10-second thing. Audi is not trying to flirt with autonomous driving with this generation of tech. It would be akin to turning off your brakes anti-locking function. Forget it.

That said, I had a guy tell me that he saw on "the internet" that if you wedge a tennis ball in one of the steering wheel's lower quadrants, it will keep the sensor happy and the lane assist won't deactivate. I haven't tried it, may well be BS, but feel free to give it a try.

Thanks, madbowler. I can understand the ramifications Audi could face and it makes sense. It would be nice to be able to double the time or adjust it. I had the alert chime go off five times on a single stretch of road in my most recent travels. With the constant chiming, one removes their eyes from the road to look at the cluster which turns something that's suppose to be an aid into a distraction. While it may never be possible, I'd purchase an Android and ODB Eleven today if I could make this adjustment.

    Thanks again!

8m interested in knowing what can be done with the OBD ELEVEN on the B9 Myself. I'm in the market to buy one. I have a E60 bmw now ( going to keep aswell ) but I have CARLY and the coding and diagnostic stuff is amazing on it. I would hope audi has something similar to that or even for the laptop and a cable. But is there a list of things that can be coded or unlocked?

Hey nick, this thread should get you started. There are a decent amount of modifications for the B9 S4 it’s just most of them enable features already present on the Prestige with DAP. Hope this helps.
