TFSI badge instead of 2.0T

Why does my car have this badge and not a 2.0T is it because of the E85 engine prep!?

I have been scratching my head in this since we bought it!

All other Audi’s I’ve seen have the 2.0T on the rear right.
WTH is going on here???

I have been looking at these cars since about December bought ours in January and it never hit me that the one we got has the TFSI badge now I’m wondering what the hell is so special about it!

No accidents we are the second owners of it! Not really sure wth is going on or why! Could have been a factory option for Europe since I See pics of the European ones with the same ones or the last owner replaced it! But he was a dentist and kept it all stock so idk!

Never seen that before. Your A4 badge has a red accent on it as well.

Pretty sure the previous owner threw on new badges for fun, or there was a repair and the body shop sourced different ones.

Seems to be you have a euro model, they have those out there, I went to England on a trip last year and almost Audi’s had that instead of 2.0t or 3.0t so on and so on, just remove it if u want mine is fully debadged I think it looks better with nothing, just my opinion tho.

I have seen the TFSI badge before on a car in Canada. Most of them have the 2.0T badge tho, including mine.

Does this previous Dentist owner have any teenage kids? By the look of the amatuer red stripe near the A4 logo I would say this is the work of a kid. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q5-...i-get-2896282/

The red stripe is a sad attempt to look similar to an S4 logo.

At least up here....most of the B8.5s have just the TFSI Quattro badge on the back. Given the disaster that was the 2.0T engine on the B8......I think they decided to remove the 2.0T. As well, every other car on the road these days seems to have a 2.0T badge on the back so a point of differentiation. When I see the 2.0T on the back of a car I have to be a little sympathetic.

Its a new designation for engine models. No longer will they have 2.0, or 3.0.... will be a 55 tfsi r something to the sorts

Might be because you have the Premium plus PLUS package.

My B8.5 2013 FF, regular premium plus has a 2.0T quattro badge. No proximity sensors as well.

US circ though.

Does 2013 < have the S-line package? Yours could be the equivalent??

I personally prefer the TFSI/Quattro over the 2.0T for reasons I mentioned above. Debadging may be a good option but on cars I've debadged, everyone thinks I've had a rear end collision and have a new trunk lid. LOL

I think someone's overreacting about a friggin badge.

All B8.5 A4's are 2.0T TFSI engines...regardless of what badge is on there or not.

I debadged mine and now its a 3.0T, I don't know what you're talking about

If both versions are built in the same plant on the same assembly line or possibly two lines parallel to each other it could have just been a mix-up at the factory. My Mom used to drive a Plymouth Reliant K-car that said Dodge Aries on the dashboard. Clearly either a factory screw-up or someone was just playing a joke.

That’s exactly what I think happened! No other explanation. Last owner wasn’t one to mod the car and it has never been in an accident! I’m leaving it like this either way. It won’t blend with all the others out there.

I was in canada a few moths ago, and almost all Audis I saw (A4s, A6s, A7s, a few Q5s, etc) had TFSI - Quattro on the rear. So I got curious and went to a dealer and he confirmed, they have been like that in canada since MY13 or 14.

So, when i got back to US, I decided to order them for my A4 Avant, since my car was badgeless anyway. they were over $200 in Canada; so i got the part numbers and ordered from onlne source for approx $105 including shipping and no tax.

Anything to make my car look "OEM different" is a win in my book

P.S- Pre face lift cars, still have the 2.0T - "skinny" Quattro name plate (which i disliked- hence my prior debadge)

As long as your're happy with it that's all that matters...,. but $100+ for factory badges as a 'mod'?

I know the prices were kinda crazy, but I once bought the Audi "gekco" emblem from an ebay spot & it faded after 6 months or so; decided if I want any badges, it will have to be OEM and "reasonable $".

On another note, I got "Audi OOOO" LED puddle lights from Amazon (came in the light blue box) for under 50$ (all four doors); working fine (no errors) & very bright for a few months now.
My friend got his from Audi dealer, and he said it was 150$ total installed-yikes.
I compared them and it looks exactly the same. Metal housing; the logo and name in same direction as mine......So I think i got a steal for my lights....LoL.

OP- I think you should consider getting the larger "chrome on Black" Quattro badge. That is how it came on the facelift models in Canada.
I think the orignal owner may have went to canada and saw it and decided to switch it up.

I happened to pay $14 on amazon for 2, but got an automatic refund for some reason and still have the lights come in. I’m not complaining though lol, I got them for free
