I know our stock intakes are good up to about 300 horses (Or so I’ve read) I know there is no real performance gains from going the intake route... I get it! My friend has a AFE FORCE pro dry S cold air intake on his B6 A4 1.8t. He just went T3/T4 and wants to get rid of it! I have a 1998 1.8t AEB...... would his intake fit on my car? I assume so due to the fact that we are bother 1.8’s but I’m not 100%. Thanks in advance!

Most likely it wouldn't have perfect fitment, as the B6s have a slightly larger/more rounded mouth for the radiator support. Other than that it should work as long as you connect your turbo inlet hose (the b6s have different connections/ports on it).

What might end up being different is the spot for the MAF since the MAF sensors will be different. This is why they only offer a kit for the B6 A4and none for the B5 A4.

This intake is interesting because it replaces the stock rubber intake hose from the turbo on with a hard pipe. Not sure how well that's going to work with engine movement, etc., but I'd like to see how that works out if you decide to get it from your friend. Thx.
