Best tires for factory 21's?

searching for best tires to put on factory 21" wheels go up to 285/30/21 or down to 265/30/21?
i have considered aftermarket wheels but i have always had bad luck with cheap aftermarket wheels and don't want to spend a fortune on wheels.

too bad you don't have the SQ7.. I have two sets of brand new 295/35/21's Dunlops just sitting here lol

For stock 21 wheels, you can go with either size.
If you go down to 265/30/21, you can order MPS4S, best summer street tire in the market now. I talked with TireRack rep, who told me the 275/30/21 should be released this month. If you can wait, then wait a little bit for the stock size.

If you go up to 285/30/21 and don't want to wait, I will say go with MPSS, it is great tire which will eventually be replaced by MPS4S.

I can wait if they will be released this month. I think idealy stock size would be best. I think id go up if nothing else because id think it would improve ride quality a little bit and close the fender gap some. How big of a difference was it going from stock to apr stage 1 tuning?

That's what I've been told. I found the 275/30/21 size available but was in UK. I actually want to go with 285 to give an extra protection to the rim.

Regarding to tune, the day I got my car back, it blew my mind how hard the car pulls. Considering it adds about 120 hp and 250 ft-lb of torque, it is totally worth it.

My 7 rubbed with 285/30 21 albeit with 15mm spacers. Stick with stock.

do you think it would of rubbed without spacers? we are talking about 2/10ths of an inch in height I guess the big difference is the width

I don't think they will rub without spacers but I way prefer the look of 275/30 21 with 15mm spacers versus having 285 30 21 with no spacers.

285’s on the stock 9” width wheels don’t look correct but you wouldn’t rub.

Did you have Continentals on it previously? If so,how do they compare? I put 4s on my M5 and they were best tires I've run to date. Have the contisportcontact 5p sil,on the RS7....
