    Knocking when breaking, hot weather

    Hello,

I have quite strange situation with my car - A4 MY2015. Maybe someone had this problem before and can help me.

The situation looks like that. When I am driving in hot weather (more than 68°F) all seems ok, but when I stop in traffic jam and drive through this jam for ex. 15 minutes - I mean stop'n go - as it usually looks in jams something becomes loose or gets too hot, because after i leave a jam and drive normally, it knocks in front of my car when driving over potholes but only when breaking.

When I stop breaking it also stops (My wife would say- then don't brake if it's a problem :D), so I can drive over big potholes without any sound but as soon as I step on the brake it comes again...

It is rather metallic sound and it never happen when it's cold outside. Could it be brake calipers or brake pads? Or something with suspension? I've already changed brake pads and rotors last autumn (I thought that changing brake pads, rotors solve that).

    Unfortunately problem still persist.
If you have any ideas, let me know. Maybe it will give me a hint where to look. Thanks in advance :)

Could be lower control arm. When you apply pressure to the brakes it loads up the control arm. Then when you hit a bump or pothole, the load is upset. Causing the knocking noise. This happen to my b8.

Did you have any signs that they were bad? Because my dealer checked all parts and it seems that they are ok. But there was not hot enough to have any knocks...
