Installing lowering springs with OEM electronic adjustable shocks

    Hi,

I have a friend that suggested me to avoid installing H&R lowering springs with my OEM struts... did some of you guys run into issues or something while doing so??

That same friend told me the only solution would be coilovers since my suspension is electronically adjustable??

I just want to know if all this is true before making my purchase..

Thanks in advance for the help

    -Sandra

From what I've gathered reading this forum, the only spring that gives a good ride on the factory ADS (adjustable dampening suspension, electronic shocks) are KW Height Adjustable Springs (KW HAS). Everything else, including H&R, will have poor results. Perhaps someone can offer a counterpoint.

There are several threads on this topic, but I will let you know that I run the HR Sports with ADS. Lowered the car about 1.5 inches. I have not idea on longevity, but it has been a little over 2 years since I made the switch.

I went with the 034 Dynamic+ springs in order to keep my ADS electronic damping. They were designed to work with the stock shocks, and have stiffer spring rates and a less aggressive drop. I'm sure the shocks will still fail earlier than if I kept stock springs, but I wasn't ready to lose the ADS for coils and will cross that bridge when the time comes. My decision came down to 034 vs. the KW HAS.

Most of the feedback on the H&Rs with stock shocks that I came across during my research said that they felt too bouncy.
