Quickie: What size on the brake pads front for 356mm discs ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    As in the heading,
seems to be different sizes on "approved" pads, so I'm confused.

Most people buy using the part number, I’ve never purchased using actual pad sizes before.

From the pictures you have posted, the bottom looks like the pads on my S7 with 400mm Brembos

The top picture looks closer, however not quite the same shape as shown in the Audi here catalogue

I would be wary of using pictures to choose the right part. Sometimes generic pictures are used.

Have a look here and see if this helps. If you click on “Fitment Details” it will give you actual pad sizes.

    Thank you,
I did as suggested, and looking at the fitment details, I again get confused, the
page cones up with some Eicher Premium Brake Pad (Front)
    Fitment states:
Other Information Brake sensor leads are included, for brake disk diameter [mm]- 320, for brake disk diameter [mm]- 345

I have 356 mm discs, so stll not sure what to order on pads.(size)

Ah, so you are replacing the discs as well as the pads?

Yes you should be ok. The pad numbers cross-reference to the A7 ok.

The discs must be well worn? - you don't normally have to change unless excessively corroded and worn below minimum thickness.

    Good luck with the parts!

Thanks, one of the discs have a small warp, so thought I'll do it all.
I assume I will be able to do this by my self, if anyone have a list of (metric) tools I need, please chime in :-)
Even best practice or how to would be great :-)

If noone have this, I'll try to document for future reference.

They are really no different to changing any other front pads. The rears are more of a challenge.

Here is a full YT guide. It’s a little long, but covers everything

Yes I did see this one, seems that removing the whole carrier is the easiest way for it all.
