    Car pulling hard to right

Hi all. Don’t post much on here but I’m in over my head on a build and can’t figure out why my s4 pulls hard to right.
Long story short, I pulled engine, transmission to install new turbos, clutch and all the other fun stuff that comes along with a build.
Just an FYI subframe was dropped in order to pull motor.
After putting car back together and going for its first road test. I instantly noticed a hard pull to the right. My first thought was maybe something to do with brakes since I replaced rotors and pads. I noticed my passenger front caliper was slightly sticking so replaced caliper.
Put car back together and test drove vehicle. Still pulling to right.
So today I brought it to alignment shop and after an hour of adjustments, the car was still pulling to right.
Alignment shop believes subframe is misaligned or something wasn’t put back together properly. They pointed out to me, the location of the front tires. The drivers side has about 4 fingers of gap from right side of wheel to fender/driver door.
Passenger side tire only has about 2 fingers worth of space.
Really scratching my head on this one and hope for someone to shed some light on what could be the problem. Thanks in advance.

    Sal

There are 2 holes the lower control arm bolts can go through on the subframe. You use the right ones?

I didn’t disconnect lower control arms from subframe. Just loosened subframe and lowered it some.

This is why I don’t touch the subframe when I pull the 2.7. It’s just an extra step on an already huge list of crap to do.

Realign your subframe and go get it aligned. Then next time you won’t need an alignment if you use the alignment pins.

So quick update. After taking the car to a reputable alignment business they made changes to the subframe and aligned the car properly. Car still has pull to the right, they could not correct that. They believe one of my tires belt is possibly damaged causing car to pull right. Car sat all winter on jackstands, elevated. I could not see a tire go bad being elevated for the last four months. I’m getting ready to bring it to dealer.
Any other suggestions on what it can be?
Never had this problem until the engine was pulled for stage 3 build.

Tough call. Only so many things that can cause the vehicle to pull.

Dealer is a safe bet for a subframe alignment and wheel alignment. They might pick up on something more than the shop you brought the car to.

It very well could be a bad tire. easy test. Swap the tires in the front... does it pull left?

    Car pulling hard to right

So tires have been swapped and tested. Not a bad tire.
All kind of leads back to subframe.
The only thing I don’t get is there doesn’t seem like there can be much adjustment to subframe. There is 4 bolts that hold it up. Very little play for adjustment. Unless I’m crazy or just don’t see it.
