What to do with my Moro Blue Queen

So here’s the backstory to this love child. I had such big plans for her but that quickly died off, planning a wedding and trying to buy a house boy do you NOT want to be doing both at the same time lol, I digress.

I put off the 2.7 swap I was dying to build on by B6, but the expenses just couldn’t do it at the time. And now just a few months back I was on the highway driving at a... normal speed when a G35 came rushing down the highway and cut me off in slowing traffic slams on his brakes. Of course he immediately slammed on them giving me little time to react to the whole situation so the collision occurred. This was not fun but it happens, here is the aftermath.

The damage wasn’t too extensive but at this point I’ve had to replace the head gasket twice myself and once at a shop(they installed both the cams AND head bolts loosely) which I believed caused the second HG issue and from there even tho I replaced the head twice more I never had the block checked and I feel it could potentially be slightly warped as the HG issues weren’t even 60k miles apart. She’s got about 190k on the clock.

With everything going on what do you guys think, should I just keep this puppy running and fix her up? I have to replace the clutch/fw (I’m not entirely convinced but my mechanic tells me the B6 clutch pedal cannot be adjusted cause it’s hydraulic? Is this true) because the pedal engagement is actually almost at the top of the range of the pedal this is what makes me believe my clutch is bad. This and the cosmetic repairs would be it.

After I fix the damages I plan on wrapping the car. I’m just not sure what to go for lol I’ll take some suggestions I was thinking something like Nardo Grey

    Thanks your your input guys!
Ps I’m hoping to have all this done by Waterfest since I missed the passed two years I’m supper excited for this years TentCity!!

With the clutch mine is the same, grabs high but the clutch is fine and mines tuned to 25psi of boost on the OEM clutch with no slipping.
Oh and sorry about your car glad it's not to bad.

Ok great, it’s good to know that I’m not the only one, this could help me save a bit, and allow me to upgrade it in the future when I resume my 2.7 swap
Thanks, me too I love this thing hehe

    Fix it.

I have the sorta the same issue with mine.

Blown head gasket with barely 75K original miles.

It's been sitting in my storage unit for over a year now.

Haven't gotten to fix it yet... it's so expensive.
It's so hard having to find a genuine mechanic around town.

Otherwise, if I knew how to replace it myself, I would've done it by now.

This is the second B6 I own. The first one was a total loss because it flooded.

Mines a cabrio tho. With all OEM.
She's freaking super fun to drive.

Like STUPID fun, and I haven't gotten around to making any mods on it , I can only imagine.

Yeah man it’s so upsetting when things like that happen and I agree not having a mechanic you know that has experience working on Audi’s make it harder to own it even DIYing everything. I love the Audi brand/platform and I’ll always come back, no matter how many times my fiancé tells me to junk the car haha

Your car is beautiful! Once you get her situated and start moding her it will be so much better and you will continually fall in love!

Sorry to say, but I agree with your mechanic - that clutch is on its last legs.
High engagement point means there's little material left on the clutch disc. It's a self-adjusting clutch and it's near its end of life.
Mine had a high engagement and my local shop with an awesome crew warned me that it's going. 6k miles later it did and I ended up on a side of the highway.
I put Valeo SMFW kit, which has been excellent with my GTRS kit so far. But I never ever launch my car.

That damage doesn't look that bad, so if you love the car and want to keep it, fix it and change the clutch. If you really have plans for 2.7T, you will be using B7 RS4 clutch, so skip the clutch change for now and keep an active AAA membership. :)

I'm at 180k on mine and, sadly, you must know by now that you will never see any dollar back that you spend on the car at this point.

So here's a group hug and beer chug and let's get on with the swap already! :)

Damn ok I see what you are saying it sucks that’s the case with the clutch but honestly it’s not the worst thing in the world.

I’ve been contemplating it still with so much going on at home I may end up just going as big as the gtrs or even 2871 so I may do the same as you and grab the kit to make things better in the future.

I also have been wanting to change up the color of my car for a while so this actually gives me a good excuse and I don’t have to explain it to the mrs
