What is reasonable to pay shop for sway bar install? Coil over install?

I’m in the Dallas area and found a shop that gets very good reviews and don’t know much about labor cost for installation of things like a sway bar or a coil overs. I’m not hundred percent sure if I’ll go with those at this point but at a minimum the swaybar is very likely

The sway bar they recommend is made by 034.

Just call and ask what their hourly labor rate is

I paid $400 for coilovers on my B7 a few years ago, namely because I was being lazy instead of doing it myself like the previous time. I'd imagine $200 for rear sway bar.

Sway bar is quite easy, especially the front to install. Why not just DIY...?

Did my front and rear sways with a buddy of mine. Fairly easy. Had to loosen the exhaust for the right side though. But $400 seems to be the usual shop rate for coilovers. A shop in NY tried to charge me $800 boy did I laugh . It was a custom shop that races Porsche's for a living though . Had a friend install the coils for $180.

Was quoted $225 labor for the rear sway (not doing front) and $595 for coilover. I think they only do Audi work which is nice but maybe that’s not a big plus for this type of work

The 034 rear bar is awesome. The install is a bit tricky too. I'd allow for 2 hours. For the CO's, 4 hours.

    Sway - $250 max
    CO's - $550 max

If you do the 034 rear bar, get the end links too. Trust me.

It might depend where he lives. Every shop I asked about coil overs quoted $600-$800. The sway bar should honestly take no more than an hour to install. I did the sway bar in my own garage with a jack and jack stands, took maybe 40 minutes from unboxing to finished installation.

Coil overs I did myself in a similar scenario. Took longer, more like 6 hours of actual labor. A shop should be a bit less consider they have a lift.
