    Post-Facelift Flat-Bottom Steering Wheel

    Hi.

I have been lurking here for years but this is my first post.

I just sold my trusty 2007 A4 with APR ECU upgrade and bought a CPO 2017 A3. To be honest and in retrospect I should have bought either a level up or an S3 but that is done...

I am not a fan of the basic steering wheel that comes with my "Premium"(read basic) model. I love the flat bottom steering wheel that I recently tried in a 2017 A4 S-line.

So I am looking to replace my wheel. I asked at the dealership but they were not inclined to replace it even for an Audi part. A little browsing online came up with wheels by Europrice. They have exactly what appears to be the S-Line version that I want. My local APR dealer New German Performance said that they could install it for $100 which seems like a good deal.

Does anyone have experience with replacing the steering wheel on a late model A3? Any gotchas or things to consider. Do I need to purchase anything other than the wheel?

    Thanks for any help.

    Best,

    Paul in DC

You can do it yourself for nothing ;) Changing within same model year should have no surprises. Take off the airbag, unbolt the wheel, put back on. Easy-peasy
