    New whip! Mod recs?!?!?

I've had my eye out for a B8.5 S4 with low miles for awhile. I really wanted white but I found this one and I could not pass it up as it was priced way too cheap.

I have vag com so I will can handle all those mods. I found service writer at the dealership that said always go through him on the service and he will make sure it holds warranty even with a tune. Has anyone had good luck with a cool service writer? I would hate for a tech to plug in and then I get flagged.

My RS grille comes in today. I am thinking H&R springs (1.5" front 1.5" rear). Houston streets are mean so I do not need it dumped. I am also thinking wheel spacers at 3mm in front and 5mm in rear. Aftermarket wheels after I shred these brand new Conti's..... Any other recks on springs?

I am planning on intake and Stage 1 tune from APR. AWE Touring exhaust. I am curious what you all have used and liked. Let me know!

I also have B6 S4 (68,900 miles) and a 20 AE GTI (150,000 miles) that are now for sale. I can share links for the B6 if wanted.

Not sure why the picture rotation is off......

Wow thats harsh lol. Good luck with the new ride looks nice. I actually been tossed between a B8.5 and the new B9. Took a 2018 non sport out yesterday and loved it. But I want the sport options and the guy at the dealer was like arguing with me about why. Why? Because I want it that's why lol. He didn't like that to much lol. Oh well just lost that sale because I'm looking to buy out right cash in hand... On to the next dealer...

stage 2 immediatly.. than rear sway bar and CR-15.

If you are gonna mess with the suspension go all in and get the B12 kit. not worth just doing springs.

    rest is up to you.

Looks great! I love that blue! One little add-on you might try and find is a dip stick since the car doesn't come with one lol

My car is still under warranty and has made it through the dealership for service

Depends on the dealership, tech and advisor though.

Path is up to you, I'd do at least Stage I first.

From there it is up to you and your driving style. The brakes on these cars are severely underpowered so I'd look at those if you drive it hard regularly.

If you do go Stage II do it by swapping the crank pulley not the blower pulley.

Thank you! You are very correct on the suspension aspect. I will check all those parts out. Much appreciated!

Don't waste your time with 3mm spacers. Won't do anything. If OWE wheels go with 10mm spacers with hub centric lip otherwise you'll be dealing with vibration issues with those 3 or 5mm spacersa and you won't even notice any difference. I'm running 12mm spacers all round on basically OEM spec wheels.

    Enjoy the car!

Don't do springs only. Save and lower it the proper way with some coilovers.

I did H&R OE sport springs and I don't like the ride quality as much anymore.

I have been hearing the B12 Bilstein/Eibach set uo=p although they are on backorder..... AWE recommended the H&R Sport Performance Coil overs. Pricey, but probably worth it.

Thanks for your suggestions, Joe. After using the search feature and Google, I do have some questions. Discuss in person in VA or DC? Looking forward to it.

You in this area or Houston? There are some good meets around, just depends on what scene you're into. Check the regional forums for more information.

Edit - I'll give you benefit of the doubt, because this could just be your communication style, but I hope that by using a first name and location while requesting an in-person meetup, you weren't trying to engage in some sort of passive-aggressive interstate "come at me bro" conversation because of an internet post.
