Need some help and/or opinions on the best route to take. I’ll try and make a long story short and basically it all comes down to I didn’t have the time.
I was the finance manager for a dealership for years (gave me access to the shop and a bunch of really smart techs). I had a 2011 a4 with H&R street performances coil overs and a few other bits that would transfer nicely to my 2014 S4. I left the dealership world and had one of the techs swap the stock suspension back on the a4 so I could transfer the H&R to the s4 in the spring (now). He ended up leaving so the wholesaler I placed it with just had their tech do it. I knew the guy very well so I figured all was good.
Last weekend I opened the box to clean things up and get ready to install on the S4. Everything looked good just needed a quick cleanup and the install would have went smooth. Then I noticed something (picture below). Everything else is fine.
Am i screwed? Chalk this one up as a loss due my inability to make some time to swap the parts myself? Can I replace this the broken shock? I got a quote for 425 to replace each front and 225 for each rear. The whole set has probably less than 8k miles on it so I really didn’t feel spending the money on new coil overs.
