Hey all, I know the tune topic is pretty well covered for the big companies. But I don’t see much regarding IE. does anyone have a tune of theirs and how do you like it?

They’ve been around for a while and fabricate some really good hardware. I chose Integrated Engineering software because I wanted the ability to flash at home. I initially purchased their stage 1 tune then upgraded to their stage 2 tune for $50. Now they are writing my custom K04 file. They have good customer service and I’m happy with their performance software.

I suppose it's more than a $50 upgrade from the stage 2 tune to the K04 file since it's custom, but I don't want to pry. Also did your stage 1 or 2 files require logging and remapping or easy plug and play?

It’s an upgrade from Stage 2 to K04 but the tuner (who is also the owner) said we will discuss the actual dollar amount after I am satisfied with my tune.

There was no logging required for the Stage 1 or Stage 2 tunes.

I own 3 VAG vehicles and they are tuned by three different tuners. I like variety.

I’ve been to their shop in SLC and met with some of the staff. They’re a good bunch of guys.

The owner actually bought a B8 A4 and installed a K04 on it to make writing the K04 file easier. I’m not worried about getting ripped off.

I didn't say you'd get ripped off but getting a price for work after that work is done is crazy. Not only for you but for him as well.

In many cases yes, but we’ve been working together for a while. I’ve also been a good customer, purchasing hardware and software. We have built some trust. I’m going to buy a B8 S4 to keep at my vacation home in Utah and have him custom tune it on his dyno.
