    P0299

So i have a 2013 A4 with 60,000 miles on it and i keep getting a CEL for P0299 boost pressure regulation control range not reached. So i change my DV to the current D revision, changed the N75 valve, replaced the pcv diaphragm and used some maf cleaner on the maf and I'm still getting this CEL. I have also checked for excess waste gate play in the arm and there was no play in the linkage. I have stuck a bore scoop into the cold side of the turbo to look for any obvious damage to the turbo and everything looked ok. Granted that there is no way to know about play in the turbine without pulling the turbo which is kinda my last resort. Any help at this point would be great!

Those are most of the mentioned items to check.

I kept getting this on my 2013 allroad. They replaced the turborcharger recirculation valve - N249 test drove it and cel was OK for a day. It came back again so it is at the shop and they are replacing the turbo on it. Also note they found the wastegate linkage to be OK. So maybe it is still a bad turbo in your situation as well. Mine is 73,280 miles.

Thanks Chip_ for your input! I had a feeling that it might be the turbo but before pulling it i wanted some others input as turbos are not cheap...

I try to stay away from the stealership if possible. But I thought that the extended warranty was for only the 09-12 A4's. my engine code is CPMA

I think Chip's is a 2013 and he's getting his replaced under warranty. (see his post above)

You're in luck! Call Audi and you'll get a free turbo replacement since you're under the 70k mile, 7 year recall. I did mine last year. They also gave me a brand new (at the time) 2017 A4 S line fully loaded as a loaner.

I got a new A4 and Q3 as a loaner during my turbo replacement. It was fun rallying those around.

The original owner I got my A4 from had the turbo swapped out around the same mileage. He also had the pistons, rings and other goodies done under warranty for the oil consumption issue. Basically a brand new engine at 74k miles.

Had the same P0299 issue with my A4, all the normal items were checked to be good (Turbo, Intercooler Pipe Clamps, DV, N75, etc...).

In the end, my tuner found that the rubber seal around the Intake Air Temp sensor was leaking.
Replacing the IAT sensor is what fixed it for me.

Add this to the list of things to check for a P0299 code.

So i stopped by the dealer today and they are going to take a look at it. They want to replace or add a clip to the waste gate actuator rod and if that doesn't fix the problem the turbo will be covered under warranty.

Do you have any upgrades to your car (tune, etc.)?
