Morning guys--
My name is Ethan, I'm 18 and a senior in high school.
Last May I was gifted my '97 A4 sedan from an old family friend and VWVortex member OstTrefttWest. It's FWD, but it's a 5-speed. I know you guys give Matt a bunch of **** for having a fwd a4 too but i love her. She's in pretty good condition, minor scratches from a couple hit and runs.
Came lowered on B&G springs with Bilstein shocks, Unitronic Stage 1+ tune (93 octane, 201hp, 220ft/lb) and an ICM delete with TSI coils.
There's a couple pea sized dents near the passenger side tail lights and some scratches on the driver side A pillar, passenger side front bumper, scratches on the driver side front fender, some on the hood that aren't very noticeable and a scratch on the driver side rear bumper. Nothing that can't be fixed (as far as I know) but I can live with them for now. Rear bumper has been patched with bondo but I never got around to painting it because Fall in the midwest was windy and I don't have access to a paint booth.
There's also a gap between the bumper and headlight on the driver side but I read on audiforum that I could use a 9mm hex drive to adjust the height. No idea how valid this is but it's worth a shot. Going by autozone either tonight or this weekend when i'm not working to grab the hex drive since my set went from 8mm to 10mm and will hopefully fix the gap. I feel like my fenders are off a tad on both sides, might just need new clips.
Shortly after owning the car, it began misfiring. Generic OBD2 picked up a cyl 1 misfire. Cleared the code but then the car wouldn't start.
PO comes by with vagcom and some needle nose pliers to poke around at the ICM harness. No issues were found and it ran perfectly when we tried starting it up again.
Cleaned the interior a ton before first date with my girlfriend

No issues until Christmas rolled around. Apparently it had been slowly leaking oil from the oil filter gasket. Got the oil death light and had her towed to a shop. :(

Hose snapped off the DV last month. Been busy with a new job and haven't been able to address it yet. No code. Intake manifold is plugged with a piece of vacuum hose and screwdriver bit. I have a stock Ralliart DV and was curious to see if I could make that fit.
Misfire this morning (4/11) that went away after clearing the code. Tried to recreate symptoms by revving and taking into low boost, but didn't get anything. Curious to find out what the issue is.
Goal wise for the car I'd like to lower it more, get new wheels, exhaust, and maybe one day a ko4 or f21. My main concern is keeping reliability since this is my only running car right now.
