How could get dealer to fix slow coolant loss?

    Hi everyone!

My car started to slowly lose coolant last year. Before that, when at operating temperature, it's always above max a bit. Last Oct I noticed that it's half way between max and min, so I topped it off to max (when I open the cap, the fluid level quickly raise to way above max due to the system under pressure). And now it dropped back to half way between max and min again. I brought the car in for 65K service and make the SA aware of this issue. He said it was fine as long as there's no light. I told him there's no light because I keep topping it off. Then they pressure tested the whole system and said there's no leak. What's my next step now? If it leaks into the manifold and get burned, from previous posts looks like it will still pass pressure test. Should I just leave it be?

On a side note, they gave me a 2018 S line A5 as loaner, that car feels so light! And the steering is much better! However from inside and out, material used felt very cheap compared to my S5, I hope B9 S4/5 has better material.

My car is still under CPO.

I had a coolant leak and the shop replaced my supercharger.

Even with the new supercharger, I still always sit below MAX. Maybe even slightly below MIN so I've just gotten used to living with it lol. Most pictures I see of an S4's engine bay, the coolant is never near MAX.

    Hey you do you!

If you're CPO'd have the dealer check it every once in a while.

I think the coolant in these cars just like to disappear.

If you are lucky, your T stat or water pump will fail under warranty. Then have them also replace the coolant tube. But usually they fail after warranty has expired.

My warranty expires at Nov this year, any method to make it fail earlier will be appreciated :)

Did they do the pressure test? If the test was passed, how did you convince them to fix it?

I had this problem in my 2015 S4... coolent slowly would disappear. Had audi preasure test it 3x and no leaks seen. Had 2 indy shops check it out and again, could not find any leaks. It happend to be my suspercharger intercoolers leaking internally. Had audi replace both under warranty.

Thanks for sharing, how did you find out it's supercharger intercoolers leaking? Did you pay an indy shop to inspect it? If that's the case, will Audi reimburse the cost?

I've noticed just today that my coolant level is little bit below Max line... No leaks that I've seen. I guess I will top off and watch what's going to happen. Seems like it really slowly disappear. Had car for 3 years, 2013 s4

That's the case for me too, very slow leak that's hard to track down.

Yes they did, they saw that the level was low, and I had coolant residue from one of the hoses. Not much convincing when you can clearly see that.

I brought it to Audi again for a second inspection cuz the first time they couldnt find anything and ended up topping the coolent off and told me to minitor it. Again.. it went down after 3 days and audi inspected it a second time.. ended up checking the supercharger coolers this time and BAM the coolers in there were leaking

I had them do a pressure test on the coolant system, and let it sit for a couple of hrs.
