    Question Decisions! 2017-18 vs 2018 A4

Hey everyone. I am ready to buy my first Audi. I have been keeping an eye on all the local(Bay Area) CPO A4 B9 Premium Plus models. I am upgrading from a 2011 Mustang that I have outgrown and hate driving(please don't judge).

My question, is, should I look for a good deal on a 2017-18 model or wait until the 2019 A4's come out? I am not in a huge rush to purchase, but lets face it, i'm ready.

To me, the A4 is timeless, which is a reason many people love this car. This fact, I think, would make me happy with the 17-18 model regardless of the 2019 facelift (if happening).

Does anyone here have a A4 B9 that can't sleep at night knowing there may be a drastic body change? Thank you!!

Hi! Just bought a 2018 A4 B9 -- replaced a 2015 Mustang GT that I also outgrew. I did enjoy driving it but it was really too much for what I could use in the northeast. It was also becoming a bit of a money pit with mods and upgrades.

Having said that, I was also on the fence about waiting until 2019. But I didn't want to wait for another 6 months to find out there wasn't much of a change, or worse yet, too much of change. Like you I think the A4 is timeless. After the test drive I figured the time was now. Only you can tell if you're ready now but based on your post it seems you are. Lol!

Ah wonderful. I hope you are loving your new B9. Let me know if you have any tips for me in the coming days considering you are coming from a mustang. I can't tell you how excited I am to not feel one with the camaro, challenger and charger. To me, cars have always been a love for engineering and craftsmanship and not about status - meaning I don't car what others think of me - but I do when it comes to driving a mustang these days. Too fast and too cheap if you ask me. Thanks again for the reply man!

I have a 2017 and love it. I'm not sure what changes they could make that would have me wait for a 2019.

However, be aware that the Google earth map overlay is going to stop working in 2020 on all MY 2018 and older audi's. Right now Audi does not have a fix in place. There's a thread in the Audi customer experience section that describes the situation.
