Air ride error after Eurocode install

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just did front and rear sways and endlinks. I also added the AK. Right after installing it and setting the car down I got an error saying the air ride and the cruise control doesn’t work. The car was on jack stands for a week. Any advice?

Do you have the CETE module? I’m having the same issue after putting on my summer tires (yes I put the suspension in service mode before lifting it).

Did you change the setting to tire change first in the MMI? Id scan it either way and if its something stupid, just clear it.

I did put it in service mode. Nothing comes up on my regular OBD reader. I’ll try vag com tonight.

So you have warnings coming up on the dash but nothing shows up when you scan it?? That's very weird. I've noticed that doing nearly anything on this car can throw a code just out of self preservation Im guessing. Some go away after a few drives, others you just have to clear.

I do feel like I have to say this more to everyone on this forum, but I think its a BS move to put Eurocode in the title of your thread. You installed the parts and had the problem. Its not an issue the parts nor did they install them. Its not fair to a business when people post stuff like that because something went wrong in their installation totally unrelated to the product. I'm sure you're not blaming them, but these threads are here forever and titles like that are misleading.

Did you check those ride height sensors at each wheel? Might have popped a link off.

I don't see the OP blaming Eurocode, only that the name was included for specificity. Any manufacturer name could be included w/o causing harm. OP is just looking for a solution.
No different when someone installs ______ brand of exhaust system and gets a CEL. Shouldn't happen, but it does and its usually not the exhaust system involved.

You're kind of proving my point with the comparisons. The brand/product had nothing to do with an air suspension error because they are completely unrelated. Its 100% the installation (no knock to the OP). Im not here to start drama. There are just a few threads in here where people blame brands for every one of their issues with the car but 9/10 its not the product.

This is actually a helpful reply. Do you have a picture of the sensor? I can’t find it on chilton manual...

This isn't the exact sensor from an S/RS (i stole it from google), but gives you an idea of what to look for. It looks really similar and is near each end link.

That's a good typical picture from ericw. The links typically go from the lower rear control arms to a sensor on the body.

Sometimes the arms break when people try to install lowering links. If I had an S6/7, I would try making my own links from R/C car and airplace parts.

I bet you broke one of the level sensors. I had a customer do that once in the exact same circumstance (car was on jackstands for a week or so while wheels were getting powdercoated). You either popped a link off or broke the arm.
