B6 A4 Halogen to Xenon Conversion Question

Alright, just got myself a set of xenon headlights for the B6 A4. Now I just need to transfer the ballast and wiring from the xenon unit to the halogen unit. What will be the best way to do this? Who has performed this common procedure before?

    Thanks.

huh? There's nothing to transfer, assuming the xenon headlights you bought are complete with bulbs/ballasts etc. Just remove the halogen lights and install the xenon ones.

    Yep, wrong area.

The halogen headlights do not automatically come with ballasts for the xenon units that they require to run. The halogen headlights also lack the necessary connectors as the halogen and xenon utilize different connectors.

I'm still not understanding your question, or why you'd want to transfer anything to the halogen housings. On the B6, the external headlight connectors are identical, so there's no reason to not simply utilize the xenon housings if you have them. If you don't, then I'm even more confused as to what you're trying to do, since it makes no sense to try an retrofit OEM xenon components into a halogen housing.

The reason is because the xenon housings are defunct. The mounting tabs are broken.

    they sell tab repair/replacement kits.

That said, if you want to transfer the xenon components to the halogen housings, then just cut out the opening for the ballast/wires, and swap the connectors for the low-beam bulb - that's it.
