    Honeycomb grille for B8 (2012) S5...

    Guys-

So, I read through the threads and such and unfortunately, a lot of those grilles are either harder to find or am left with slim pickings via ebay.

That being said, I am looking for a matte black honeycomb grille to match the fog covers. Seems odd to have a gloss grille and matte black fog covers...

Let me know of anyone that has a matte grille and can provide a reference to buy one.

    Thanks!!!

There are a good number available but I can't tell you how many are matte. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...black&_sacat=0

The one I got is gloss and noted the difference with the fogs. I am going to spray the fogs gloss. I also have a gloss chin spoiler so gloss wins on mine.

Nice!! I didn't catch that one!! Seems a little higher on price, but is the quality what you expected? I know a buddy got a cheaper one and was literally so brittle that it broke a tab.

I have the Maxton splitter and side skirts and rear diffuser pieces all in gloss. Might need to consider painting the fogs. Just worry that it will peel...

You may want to consider plastidip on one of the glossy units available.

That's not the grill I purchased so I cannot comment.

I have the Maxton Splitter also so that is also why I am doing the fogs in gloss. I would not worry too much about peeling with the right rattle can and prep. Impact chips from debris is more likely. You can get B8 grills with open honeycomb (maybe in gloss?) If you painted the open ones in gloss, there would be a much smaller chance of impact chipping. B8.8 they do not have open ones yet. The solid areas between the honeycomb may not look so great in my case with gloss
