Hey guys,

I'm slowly working on a subwoofer upgrade for my 2018 A6. Dynamat Extreme is in transit and will be used throughout trunk, rear quarters and speaker/parcel shelf to minimize resonance. That should be in this weekend -- decent garage temps permitting. Now, I'm about to order my subwoofer (likely JL Audio or Pioneer) and amplifier. I had intended to get a separate Audio Control L2CI to manage line conversion, bass roll off, etc.. But, I ran across a new Audio Control amplifier, that appears to include 175 watts RMS at 4 ohms and functions like the L2CI. Obviously, this would simplify install (NOOB to car Audio install here), but at what cost?

With this device would I really forgoe performance I could otherwise have if I went with a separate L2CI and Alpine MRV500 or similar JL amp?
