2014 6 speed MT freeway whine

Hello guys, I have an 2014 Audi A4 with 55k miles.
When I'm driving on the freeway between 65-80 I heard a slight whine under acceleration. I can't pinpoint where it's coming home. I fear is the differential or the transmission. You can really hear it in 5th and 6th gear.
Anyone else have this issue? Taking it to the dealer is worthless as they can NEVER replicate any issue I tell them about. #AudiDealerSucks. #OnlyGoodUnderWarranty.

Screw the dealership. You're on your own! Have you ever changed the fluid? 55k is not a bad time to do trans and diff fluids.

I have not changed the fluid yet. I called for an estimate, and they want over $400 for the transmission fluid change alone at the dealer. I've only had the car for 7k miles and it's such a headache. I think this is my first and last Audi.

Had that happen to a manual transmission car I had and it was because of low transmission fluid. Might want to get that checked out asap.

You should be able to do the manual fluid yourself. I'd look into it before letting the dealer do it. The fluid may be the most expensive bit, and you may need some special triple square bits and a cheap fluid pump

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me.

^this is easiest to diagnose anyway so you might as well look into it. Jack up one corner at a time and check the wheel for play. Wobbling the top and bottom of the tire (think camber), will isolate play in the bearing. Wobbling in the sides could be steering slack. I can only ever spin my wheels less than 1/8 turn because of the drivetrain, so you may not be able to freely spin the wheel enough to hear the bearing unfortunately
