I was very close to putting on all-season tires prior to this last winter, but made it through winter on my OEM summer tires just fine. It got below freezing multiple times (no ice though) but I had no issues.
For my area, I think summers are fine year-around, however, I avoided driving up to Lake Tahoe recently because of my tires. I definitely don’t need winters here at all, though.
So, can anyone who switched from dedicated summers to all-seasons like the DWS06 on stock 20s share their experience?
Is the drop off in performance that noticeable versus the benefit of being able to drive in occasional snow? I don’t track my car, just typical driving.
Thanks.
