Went in for an oil change, and wanted to start an oil consumption test(in 5000miles had to add about a quart). They stated that withthe modifications I wouldn't be covered under warranty anymore(2016 s6 40k miles).
Any one else get flaggedfor those items?
Also, they say the4.0 had no consumption issues, so it's probably a leak somewhere... wondering what the options are?

That is total BS. I don't know if you care about the warranty or not but if so I'd posture up hard.

1 qt in 5k miles is well under stated normal consumption. Fruit, mine is 1 qt in 3500 miles

Why are you going to a dealer for an oil change?

I brought it in for the consumption issue, but also wanted to see if there were any codes stored for the transmission. On one occasion from a stop, lightly accelerating it started bucking. Like a 15 year old learning to drive stick for the first time. I know the dct is touchy around 1st and 2nd but that was concerning. Oil change was part of the logging aspect of the consumption data.
I'm hoping to get word back from the supervisor. To state the car is tuned from an exhaust(with cat's) and a gauge is nuts to me. Since the p3 is plugged into the diagnostic port I think that's why they are claiming it...

Sorry to hear this. And on a 2016! I have a 16 but only 17k...seems between here and Audi World there are a rising number of blown turbos, too. Be glad that wasn't you...

Maybe we should start a thread about all the TD1'd cars? Then everyone on that list can hit AOA at the same time...

They can't TD1 you over that gauge and a cat back. That dealer is terrible and I'd tell them to fix it or deal with an attorney.

It’s upto the dealer to prove your mods caused the issue or they are breaking the law by saying you have no warranty. If my dealer tried that I wouldn’t buy a car from Audi or them again and it was be plastered on every internet review site I could find.

That's a shitty dealer if you ask me. It's very obvious to anyone in the service department that an exhaust and a gauge would not cause any issues.

You guys are confusing the dealer and Audi. Audi is not approving the warranty work, not the dealer. The dealer reports to Audi what the problem is and it is up to Audi to say yes or no. And why would the dealer turn down warranty money from Audi?

The dealer reported the mods knowing full well these mods would not cause these issues. Audi saying they won’t cover just makes the situation even worse as they know this too.

Not me. I've had more than that on my car and still had warranty work approved as they were completely unrelated. Hell, I know a number of other cars that go there with a lot more work done to them but if they don't affect the actual issue they don't get blocked.

It's one thing to have something like a modified suspension, and then have any warranty work on suspension parts blocked. It's a whole different story when they try to say a gauge or an exhaust could affect why your car is leaking oil. Audi does have some strict rules, but this sounds more of a case of an aggressive service department.
