    I know there are multiple threads on this. I can see that the cable has come off. I managed to get the front grille off. I can’t seem to find how to release the latch. See pics of what I can access.

    I believe I've read somewhere that you may have to patiently attempt to pop it from underneath with a pole/rod of some sort. Thank god I've not had to deal with this. Haha! Good Luck!

    Yeah I saw some guy had some long right angled bar for use with a 5th wheel that he managed to get in there. Though he already had the hood open and was doing it from above. It’s raining now and I don’t have a garage. Will have to wait.

    bar would not work, it has to have sort of a hook at the end, to grab at the latch and pull.

    Got the bastard off. Tried the rod method from below to no avail. Was able to get a 10 mm socket to undo the rear acorn bolt from below. Had to take the grille off to get the front 2 nuts. What a pain in the ass.
