What have you done to your B9 S4 today?

I’ll start...I’m picking it up from the dealership today!! Very excited, will be getting out of a 2012 M3. I had an order in for an RS3 last year but decided to hold off on it as I wasn’t too sure about the size of the car and interior.

Nothing yet lol. Today makes a month I’ve had mine. Plan to tint the windows, ceramic coat, and possibly a piggy back tune (DTUK). I’d consider an intake to hear the turbo more if it’s not a pain to swap out for any warranty issues.

I’m currently leasing my car so I don’t want to sink much into it until I’m certain that I’d keep it.

What are your thoughts on the ceramic coatings? Quotes I received weren't bad. 5 year guarantee for 16 or 1700 and a lifetime guarantee for 2000. A big hold up for me is the several day curing time.

I have ceramic coated my last few cars...paid someone to do it the first time, and realized very quickly that it was not rocket science at all and I could do it myself. All I do now is pay for a good high quality ceramic coating (CQuartz UK, 22PLE, etc...) for about $75 and around 2-3 hours of my time. For my just purchased S4, I went the polymer sealant route (Jescar powerlock) which will last around 6 months, just to see how it does. Good luck!

I gave her a full detail inside and out...and applied a coat of Jescar Power Lock sealant for some shine and paint protection...

I hate your lawn. It's too green and the mow lines are too pretty. We just got 18" of snow over the weekend. Prior to that, last Thursday it had finally melted just enough that I could finally see my lawn peaking through - first time I've seen it in months. Maybe I'll have grass again by May.

    Car looks good though!

HA! I like my lawn better than my vehicles and the wheels they ride on. And that says a LOT! 😁

Funny, your half-assed wash is probably more than some people's full wash

Looks great ....I think it needs some carbon fibre side blades, I think that will finish the look IMO.

I did a light cleaning and conditioning of my leather interior using Leather Masters products. The seats didn’t “need” them, but I like doing it to any new car I get. Love the feeling of the leather plus the smell. Will repeat every few months...man I love this car!!

I’ve got the leather/alcantara seats, anyone know how to care for the alcantara? Thx!

Nice! You have pics of the interior? I've been curious if the Alcantara interior on these cars. As per care I used to use Sonax Alcantara cleaner when I had my Benz a while back. Spray it on and use a damp sponge to really get in there and work it between the fibers.et it sit for a good 10-20 mins and use the sponge again or a cloth this time and just let it dry. It felt super soft afterwards, I used to do it every other car wash to keep it nice.

I also have the alcantara - I love it as well. It's grippy, warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. I've had alcantara in my e46 330i ZHP, B6 S4, B8.5 A4 Comp Plus and now my B9 S4. Funny thing is I would have paid a premium for alcantara vs leather... probably should not say that out loud or Audi will start charging for both interior choices :)

Agree, it is great...hoping it wears well. I am in the same camp as you, I would have paid extra for the alcantara! The car I was going to buy from the dealership sold before I could make an offer, so we looked at one at a sister dealership not far away and I didn't even realize it had alcantara until I saw it live. Big bonus for me!

I had a B8 S4 with the alcantara and loved it. I wonder how well it would hold up now that I have two little ones....

I'm currently looking at getting into a new S5 SB or S4 and it seems like the alcantara is near impossible to find on the dealer lots.

I did some light coding using the OBDEleven unit...changed turn signal to 5 blinks, added easy seat exit, added rear daytime running lights on, and disabled seat belt warning.

Installed my Milltek downpipe/high-flow cat on Sunday.

The Griffen Motorwerk guys swore it could all be done entirely under the hood, no lift or jacking necessary. The video of the downpipe job I saw suggested the same thing. BS. There are a couple nuts on those flanges that are a nightmare. One must be taken off from under the car. The other will require some craftiness on your part but can be done from under the hood...I had to remove the "Reynold's Wrap" heat shield from the firewall to get the extra couple millimeters I needed to get a tool on the last nut. Some S-shaped wrenches will be helpful too. The good news is the Milltek piece doesn't have the heat shielding on it that the OEM piece does, so, given the dearth of room to work in there and needing every millimeter you can get, it's fairly easy to get back in and bolt up.

Car sounds great now! Was hoping for more of a kick in the pants than I got, but I guess you can only expect so much from exhaust bolt-ons.

Did you get the bluetooth one? You'll enjoy it. It really changes the driving experience. Shouldn't take you too long to install. My first attempt with about 15 to 20 minutes. Now I can put it or take it out in under 5 (scheduled service). Be sure to share your thoughts!

Yes I did get the Bluetooth. Is that what you have? Did you mount it under the Cowl per suggestion from Aaron? I will definitely post results.

Unfortunately no, the Bluetooth one came after but I’ll say that I’m jealous. Popping the hood to make a change is not ideal in certain situations. I have pics and a write up here : https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...1#post13049893

Good luck with it, curious on your thoughts!

Well here are my first thoughts on the box. There is definitely a difference.

    1. My traction control came on under straight acceleration, that has never happens before.

    2. Tried to do a 0-60, timed on my Dragy, best previous with 12 yr old kid in the car was 4.41. Had him and 16 yr old boy in the car and got 4.38.

Not a huge improvement but still an improvement. Now keep in mind, I have not adjusted or played with any settings. I am on 3-0, per Aaron’s instructions.

But, when I went back to run a second pass I noticed 4-20ft. Black tire marks from were the tires were laying down rubber, once again that has never happened.

So, I still have a lot of playing with it. The Bluetooth is nice because i can change everything in the car. Should be nice for playing and getting best setting.

Super excited with what is to come with a little more time with it.

Installed the trunk cargo net, got the overpriced one from Audi. Nice quality...

Next up on my list of things to do is find a good ceramic wheel coating to make washes easier...this car throws off big brake dust!!

Opti Coat+ is the way to go. My wheels are so easy to clean. Pressure washer gets them nice and clean. Only take a brush to it every 2-3 months.

Next up on my list of things to do is find a good ceramic wheel coating to make washes easier...this car throws off big brake dust!!
I use Rim Wax by Smartwax for the wheels, Zaino for everything else. Smartwax helps reduce dust collection but it cannot stop it. It does help with cleaning the wheels though. Much easier to do with the wax than without.

Hi EthanZ. They are the Audi Sport® 19" 5-spoke V design, contrasting Gray with a partially polished finish. I believe the OEM part number is 8W0601025BF

    Hope this helps!

Install took a while, but that’s only bcuz I’m a noob to jacking a car up. I also spent time making sure to black everything out that can be seen through the grill. Everything fit perfect. The grill had a front camera holder and sensor holders. Very happy with it. EMD auto is the way to go vs some of the others I researched.

It also added 15 more horsepower
