Good luck with it, curious on your thoughts!
Well here are my first thoughts on the box. There is definitely a difference.

    1. My traction control came on under straight acceleration, that has never happens before.

    2. Tried to do a 0-60, timed on my Dragy, best previous with 12 yr old kid in the car was 4.41. Had him and 16 yr old boy in the car and got 4.38.

Not a huge improvement but still an improvement. Now keep in mind, I have not adjusted or played with any settings. I am on 3-0, per Aaron’s instructions.

But, when I went back to run a second pass I noticed 4-20ft. Black tire marks from were the tires were laying down rubber, once again that has never happened.

So, I still have a lot of playing with it. The Bluetooth is nice because i can change everything in the car. Should be nice for playing and getting best setting.

Super excited with what is to come with a little more time with it.

Good to hear you notice a difference! Grab a PedalBox and you’ll feel like you have a completely different car with the two. It’s worth it.

Got around to putting a ceramic coating (Gyeon Rim) on my wheels...very curious to see how this coating does to help keep the wheels looking like they do in the picture. Washed the car, spent extra time cleaning the rims (including the barrels), and wiped down the rims with IPA to get them ready to accept the coating. I kept the wheels on so it was a little difficult to work around the big brakes but overall not too painful.

Installed a P3 Multigauge with Track Pack today. Love how everything comes together flush.

If anyone needs one, Eric N at Supreme Power took really good care of me. Hit him/them up for excellent customer service with great prices.

Looks great! The P3 is on my list of future modifications. Did you get the one that came with the vent or installed it in the vent yourself? How long did install take? Did you need anything outside trim tools to install?

Thanks guys. I got the one without vent. There’s really no reason to buy the one with the gauge pre-installed in the vent. It’s literally a 5 min swap.

Install took about an hour total since I was going slow and the neighbor’s cat was harassing me .

You need an 8mm socket with extension and a T20 torx to get the screws out, but it’s pretty straight forward. The biggest pain is the insane number of clips holding everything together. Overall it’s a pretty easy install.

Thanks for you feedback. I watched the video on YouTube and it seemed straightforward. Glad to hear a real world comment that’s the same!

I went with the ECS Tuning caps. The carbon fiber is nice...the fitment is an 8 out of 10 (at least our set was). Install on the caps was probably 10-15 minutes on each side.

Tried to make a 3 point turn by utilizing a driveway, somehow drove onto the curb and essentially tore my belly pan in half fml. All my years of driving this is the first time this has happened to me. No other significant damage besides the belly pan so that’s lucky, just a scrape on the front subframe. Calling dealer to see how much a replacement will cost, I don’t want to spend $250 on the ECS aluminum one unless the dealer wants the same amount.

Ha! It surprises most when I tell them how much it costs to pretty up a garage. Not too bad at all :)

And thanks! Those bumper markers bug me to no end. If I were keeping this car longer, I would order a EU bumper cover.

Or is this a car mod joke that I'm missing? Lol seems that every company claims their gadget adds 15hp. "Carbon trunk lip spoiler? Ours adds 15hp!! Yeah, the new air flow off the back of the car sends air current up to the Gulf Stream at just the right pitch to net you 15hp GAINZZ!!" Griffin Motorwerke made some pretty bold claims about their turbo back exhaust that, so far as I can tell, turned out to be total horseshit. In fairness to them, I only went with the high-flow cat/DP and stock cat back (rather than a full catless turbo back), but my quarter times were unaffected (again, far as I can tell). Still looking to send the high-flow cat back to them and go catless, if I can ever get them to respond to my emails again...

Totally a mod joke. Like someone might say an Audizine decal adds 5hp lol. Now if you put a "grill" on your car, that's added weight and drag. A grille however will at least make your car look a bit more sporting.

Yes...lol it’s a mod joke.. I inserted a winking face in the post..

In regards to the grill, it is more aerodynamic than the standard grill and I also have a carbon trunk spoiler, so you never know at 150 MPH..lol

I’m sure there is minimal performance gain if any at all. It just gives it a more aggressive look.

What!!? This is ridiculous! I was about to install the CF lip and CF license plate frame with the intention of gaining an extra 15hp! So much for that! 😜

On a real note: I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the tuners come out with some actual mods for this car. There's power in here somewhere, someone will eventually (fingers crossed) tap into that soon.

Do yourself a favor and try launching it once or twice. It’s fun as well.

I’m sure there is minimal performance gain if any at all. It just gives it a more aggressive look.
**Edited: I went back and looked and saw you said the part was from EMD auto.**

question: did you need to paint anything else besides the crash bar black? their website only mentions the crash bar. also, any problems with parking sensors or front camera since install? I have a Prestige model as well and don't want my top view camera picture or parking sensors getting all janky.

Yea it was EMD auto. I painted the crash bar and as an option I lightly painted the intercooler below the crash bar. I seen this in an install video and I’m glad I did.

In regards to parking sensors, initially I had no issue as they have a holder that clips the parking sensor in. Now after about a week, one of my sensors broke off the clip. At first I was upset, but then again I wash my car with a pressure washer. I was a little too aggressive with a new pressure nozzle with the front of car and may have broken it myself, as it’s a different surround than the stock grill. That being said, I still feel like it should not have been that easy to break. Either way, super glue is awesome and problem fixed!

Front camera is no problem, they are the only grill maker to include a kit that holds the camera in without rigging it with zip ties etc.. Front view is the same. I use above view everyday I park at work and it’s still very accurate as well.

Overall I would still recommend EMD vs anything I have seen out there. It’s not cheap looking and looks exactly as the 2018 RS4/RS5 stock grills with the Quattro lettering on the bottom border of the grill vs in strange areas that make it look cheap/fake/knock off..lol no eBay..haha

Great information to know! I’ve been considering the RS-style grill myself but been hesitant due to the camera and DAP sensors. I read somewhere that swapping the grill requires recalibration of DAP which was quite expensive ($800), would love to know if this is true. I’m still in research mode and I definitely noted the camera mount breaking when using a pressure washer. Great share, thanks again!
