Anyone know how to code or adapt your speedometer from max 180 mph to 160 mph using VCDS? I could have sworn I've seen a coding option to adjust that value with a pick list of 140, 160, 180, 200 but I can't seem to locate it

As far as I know the sweep of the needle is the same and I would think that the input should be calibrated within the cluster. Someone swapped an S4 cluster into A4 and didn’t see any issues. I think the S4 is 180 and the A4 is 160. Could be wrong on that tho.

That's the difference between the B8 and B8.5 gauge faces and no you can not recalibrate the needles. Bummer I know but if you are B8 you will want 180 if you are B8.5 your are looking for the 160. The RPM faces are the same minus the B8.5 having red dashing past 6k and you *can use A/S5 faces if you want, just be prepared for the fuel to be slightly wonky. SUPERFULL!

Yeah, the needle sweep stops where it should which is interesting, another interesting fact is the A4 has the 180 and S4 is 160 but looks like it may be a chassis difference between the the B8 and B9.
