Where to buy Podi Stepper Boost Sender Unit? Or replace with alternative.

My car battery recently died and upon jump start up, my inHG reading is at 6.... but no vacuum leaks and the car is fine otherwise.

The gauge does do its sweep, powers on immediately, centers at zero, and the hose is perfectly fine. I have the filter on ahead of the sender and all that fun stuff. It's installed correctly and no issues for a year until now. Boost readings are fine, stock car. Peak 13psi, holds 7-8psi.

I have an appt at the shop for some routine maintenance anyways and they'll do a leak test and scan the car, but 6inHG is way off. No way the car would run smoothly with that big of a leak.

My theory is the power spike damaged the sender and it just needs to be replaced. Possibly the gauge too or one or the other. I'm curious if I can use a different sender with this set up as I cannot find one from Podi. I bought my set from ECS just over a year ago. No issues until now. Really stumped.

I reached out to Winston so hope to hear from him.

Any ideas on finding a new sender or suitable replacement? Has anyone run into a similar issue with their Podi Stepper? Searched and feel like I'm on an island by myself on this one...

buy from their site https://podi.ca/, not sure about issues though as I don't have one of their gauges.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I had an issue with my original sender from them, moisture got into the uint and corroded the sensor. I emailed back and forth with Winston and ordered a new one through him it was quite easy. Cost $40 I believe.

If for whatever reason the gauge itself is bad, shoot me a PM, I have my old gauge I'm wanting to get rid of.

Thanks, I'll let you know. There's no option to buy spare senders on their site. It might be the gauge but not sure yet. Going to leak test the car tomorrow and go from there.

I’m in the same position. I gave suddenly stopped functioning, although it still powers on and performs the needle sweep. I emailed their support on the website, as well as send a message to them here, I never received a response.

A guy from the B6 Facebook page sent me a spare sending unit that he had, however the wiring connection on the back of the gauge is different from my gauge.

OP send me a message and I can pass along this sending unit. Has everything needed minus the new gauge.

Sorry to hear you're having issues too. I hope Podi gets in touch on these inquiries.

Sure, PM'd. Not sure if it'll fit my connection either. My set up might be newer/different, not sure.

I confirmed no leaks today just to be sure. The car is running perfectly. The gauge error is either a fried sender or the gauge itself. Doing some more investigating on that end.

Really sounds like the sender to me tbh.

Hey Charles, does your old gauge have one row of 6 pins, or two rows of 3? The spare sending unit and harness I have has the latter, but doesnt fit my gauge (which has one row of 6 pins).

It's most definitely got to be the sender. The gauge zeros out fine, sweeps, no issues. Just wish there was an option to buy spare parts from them. Then again after the radio silence, I don't really trust they have their act together. ECS, love them or hate them, have an army of people and resources to support what they sell.

That might be an option, the ECS gauge, but I don't want to lose my air vent. Perhaps a mechanical gauge that fits the Podi Pod. I'm sure there are options. I'll have to look into that.

Yea I think most 52mm gauges should fit. The depth could be the only issue with a longer mechanical gauge.
