My car battery recently died and upon jump start up, my inHG reading is at 6.... but no vacuum leaks and the car is fine otherwise.
The gauge does do its sweep, powers on immediately, centers at zero, and the hose is perfectly fine. I have the filter on ahead of the sender and all that fun stuff. It's installed correctly and no issues for a year until now. Boost readings are fine, stock car. Peak 13psi, holds 7-8psi.
I have an appt at the shop for some routine maintenance anyways and they'll do a leak test and scan the car, but 6inHG is way off. No way the car would run smoothly with that big of a leak.
My theory is the power spike damaged the sender and it just needs to be replaced. Possibly the gauge too or one or the other. I'm curious if I can use a different sender with this set up as I cannot find one from Podi. I bought my set from ECS just over a year ago. No issues until now. Really stumped.
I reached out to Winston so hope to hear from him.
Any ideas on finding a new sender or suitable replacement? Has anyone run into a similar issue with their Podi Stepper? Searched and feel like I'm on an island by myself on this one...
