Lower only front by 1/2" on S4 Avant.

    Hi there.
I'am currenrly running 19" wheels on my B7 S4 avant. On stock suspension.
The front sits approx 1/2" higher than the rear.
Any way to lower the front by just 1/2" or so. Without lowering springs etc. On Golfs they have some sort of special top shock mounts that lower the front just slight.

    Cheers...!

Brilliant ..!! Thanks guys. Found threads on this. Seems like a common mod for a common rake issued on S4.

    Cheers..!

Careful here, this might cause your struts to fail early as it will sit lower than its designed operational range.

    Anyone can confirm ?

Correct, but a half inch difference isn’t going to accelerate wear by much. I’m sure the front dips that much with a fatty in the front

Bump this thread from the dead…read lots of threads about the B5 A4 front spring perch. Quite a few RS4 specific attempts with it…some added the B5 rubber isolators also.

Incoming B7 S4 Avant, and that front fender reveal bothers me. I’ve read 3/8-1/2” drop possible with these bits. Yet to see or read definitive proof that the end result is a happy ending.

    Any update…thanks

A quick search of my usual VAG on line retailers, shows it available. Naturally showing..and actually having/getting, are two different things.

Part number is confirmed…does this indeed drop the front 3/8-1/2”, that is yet to be confirmed.

So @Rol-co …you’re verifying the result using that spring perch?

Just wanted to confirm, that was your experience…thanks

I like that this thread has fired back up. Im actually planning on raising the front of my car back up a good inch and give my car a 3/4" reverse rake just to help balance the car better through cornering on track days.. The supercharger added a good 70+ lbs up front so its best to raise the front so it doesn't dip as bad and preventing any unwanted interference from my 255 tires

The result indeed, the car is not "hanging" on the ass anymore but straight. With 19" a must.

Right here…right now. Found this after the fact, 2xB5 front spring perch’s on order.

Now on to finding brighter lighting….old school dual 8” round kind guy. Would love a modern solution.

Here's some measured confirmation of the 1/2" drop.

Also noticed that the b6 lower rubber isolator is about 3/16"-1/4" shorter than the b5 one, so there's potentially a 3/4" total lowering.

    Pic 1/2: before
    Pic 3/4: after
