Optional wheel and tire sizes for RS5

Hi folks, I need some help. Please forgive me if this is too elementary, but I’m confused. I have a ‘14 RS5 Coupe with standard brakes and 20” oe 20x9 ET 26 wheels. I’m looking to go for after market wheels. I’ve found a used set of 20x10.5 ET 35. Will these fit properly and safely? What tire size is then appropriate?

No track, daily driver summer only, spirited driving.

I appreciate any advice. The wheels are gorgeous, but if they don’t fit, I need to walk away. Thanks

    Ed

Go 285 tire width on the 10.5 wheel width. You would want a lower ET like 25 or down to about 20 on that wheel spec.

I won’t say it’s “out” but it’s probably going to need 5-15mm spacers

I ran 20x10.5 wheels when I had my RS5. The offset was 23. They fit just about perfectly to me for the RS5. You will definitely want or possibly need spacers to at least look decent and to possibly clear the brakes up front. 285 tire width is definitely the right way to go as s vier already suggested.

I’ve heard lots of people do a 275/30/20 wheel especially if lowered.

the et 35 will be too close for comfort with the suspension the et25 is perfect for that wheel width.

That is the tire spec from the factory on most RS5s..
