It won't help. I had the same problem after doing a 6 speed swap. Was told I had to use one from a manual car but that's not true. Check your map and maf sensors along witb the plug for the throttle body. After that do a throttle body adaptation and see where you stand

buy vagcom. read measureing block, press pedal up and down, view results.... Could just be a bad wire/connector or yes, bad pedal. Pin check from ECU to pedal connector for continuity. If good, then pedal, if bad, then obviously you have work to do there.

dont randomly change parts without doing at least a little bit of diagnostics.

    ok...
Have tested pedal with vagcom, after clearing fault code i get reading in like 0,5sec then it reads 0.

After letting the car stand still with battery off it suddenly worken in about 1 min before the fault code appeared again.

Have pin checked from connector (not ecu connector cause there are so small wiers) to the pedal, there are good connection there.

But i did nor get readings when moving the pedal (not shure if iv done it the correct way but also not shure what signal to expect).

Will do the throttle body alignment when i have the vagcom again.

Recheck your Maf map and throttle body connections they all matter to the pedal operation

Also I believe you can do an alignment without vag com something about turn key on depress pedal to floor and release and leave key on for 2 minutes but if you try it look it up to get exact procedure

Its not a TBA. This is an old myth from 20 years ago. The only proper TBA is one initiated from the basic settings.

That's just not correct but I'm sure you know more than I do so im not gonna go back and forth about it but I do know that when I had a tb fault and had to keep unplugging it I could go thru the process (more than a few times a day for a while) and it would reset it. In fact that is the whole reason I bought a vcds cable because everyone said no it doesn't work yada yada and when I got the cable in hand i tested the method and guess what? It showed me a brand new tb that id "adapted" with the key and the pedal that had 0 errors and been thru 8 adaptation steps so im gonna go with it does work

a very old thread from long ago revealed that adaption values were not updated with the ignition key method. despite what the documentation might have said.

    ill leave it at that.

ya i would take that with a grain of salt, it was a long time ago and far smarter people than I came to these conclusions so I never verified it for myself.

but i will say that my vw master tech would audibly snort at me if I suggested the hood/ignition key method.
