    Clutch Noise

I just did a Stage 3 build with an RS4 clutch. I've driven the car maybe 3 times and now it is making a high pitch squealing noise when idling. If I apply pressure on the clutch, the noise goes away. Its a brand new clutch so I'm confused on what the issue might be.
I found this video on Youtube, though its a different vehicle its the exact same noise and issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boPbjotHSE0

I'm just not sure if its bad to drive on it like that or what the issue might be since everything is brand new.

Sounds like the clutch fork could be riding on the fingers of the pressure plate. Did you check the adjustment of the SAC?

I didn't do the clutch job myself. A good friend of mine did who is a VW technician. The car didn't make this noise until it started up today after I drove it 4 or 5 days ago. I'm just not sure if I should just see if it goes away or worry about it.

I'd be worried about it but tthats because I'd be worried about it breaking the bell housing if something came apart

How could that be with the clutch engaged (neutral and idling) and the TOB between the fork and PP fingers?

Idk it might be the throwout bearing also. Maybe the fork is bent and it's hitting the fingers or the stack height isint right causing an issur or maybe the pp bolts are loose and the whole clutch is moving around along with the pressure plate but either wich way it's fubared and it's likely gotta come apart to fix it

ah true. The PP bolts backing out is pretty common with the audi supplied torque specs. You should check with your guy about which specs he used. Myself and other members here usually go with 30ftlb on a steel flywheel or 25 on aluminum.

Yeah the stock spec is not enough and if it comes out use locktight

If the fork was bent it would make the sound worse as he pushed farther in.
