Hi All,
I'm looking at a stock 2008 RS4 sedan near Cincinnati that has just under 80k on it. It is a one owner car, good maintenance history, recent DRC rebuild, oil cooler lines replaced and appears to be in decent shape. Few rock chips, one of the door blades has a ding so may need to be repainted or replaced, one rim with rash. It has always been maintained at Audi Cincinnati East. I live in MA and asked the Audi dealership about getting a PPI done and they said they don't do PPI's. Not being that close, its not that easy for me to just swing by and check the car out so would like to get a PPI done and get some neutral eyes on the car. Does anyone know of any good Audi shops that know RS4's and could do a PPI? It would be nice to have someone take a look at the car, see what the condition in person is like and take a look under it to see the shape of everything (it has been used as a daily and seen winters so I want to make sure its not a rusted mess).
Finally, what are your thoughts on buying a car with 80k on it? I've read a number of posts about the robustness of the motor but that things get expensive when needing to be replaced. I think it will need a carbon clean (only one was done at 25k), new front rotors in probably 10-15k miles and I'm concerned about the clutch since it is the original one. I want to make sure it is not exhibiting any of the stickiness that I've read about. Not sure if injectors or spark plug coils will need to be replaced at some point too. Finding lower mileage ones is getting harder and they command a good price.
Thanks!
- Bill
