    What is this part

    I changed the oil filter housing and thermostat this weekend. Everything was fine and the car is running but when I went to clean up the mess I made, this part was laying under the car. I did not remove the manifold so idk where it came from. IMG_3833.jpgIMG_3834.jpgIMG_3835.jpg

    That looks like the rubber bushing that goes into the engine cover.

    it was. probably fell under the manifold long ago. thanks for the help. stupid question but i had never seen it before.

    It would have been alot easier if the manifold came off. Unfortunately, the triple square on the top connected to the hard line stripped so it wont come off. Carbon clean is in the books next. Just gotta get that screw off.

    Whenever i come across those things i just replace them with a hex bolt of the same dimensions. I hate those triple squares

    Mine stripped too. I gave the head of that bolt a quick cut across the diameter with the dremel and turned it into flathead screwdriver bolt for easy removal.
