    Xpel clear bra quote

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My clear bra is starting to look pretty sad so I figure its time for replacement. Got a quote for an Xpel bikini clear bra. It basically covers the front 20 in of the hood and down onto the fenders, bumper, headlights and mirror caps. They want $100 to remove the old bra and $800 for the new one. Is this on par with what you have seen or paid?

Anyone in Phoenix area have someone they have used and got better pricing?

Actually, I would want X-pel behind the wheel openings especially the rears as well.

That sounds reasonable to me. I got front bumper, full hood and full fenders for around $1200 a few years ago. No headlights but those are small change compared to the rest of the job. I’d say $850 sounds decent for that scope of work...but I have to say I really like having the full hood and fenders done. Worth the extra money IMO.

Yeah $800 to $850 is typical for partial hood, front bumper, side mirrors, headlights and partial fenders. If you want full hood and full fenders it's usually around $1200 with everything else.

I would get it removed then have a full paint correction done then have the xpel installed then ceramic on top of everything. Do that and call it a day.

That's actually what is happening. The shop that does my detailing is right next door. So they are going to take the old one off clean and buff it out. Install the new one and coat the whole thing.

Price sounds right. Is the prior film Xpel though? They warranty for 10 years, and I've had really good experience with installers doing warranty work for any type of defect.

I would double check if there are any local guys that will come to your house (or you go to theirs) and install the PPF.

I know of a couple coworkers that have had their vehicles done for half that price (in Canada too). Full hood, full bumper, fenders, mirrors and pillars for around $500. All depends on the skill of the guy doing the work though, but in Calgary there are plenty of ads of Kijiji (craigslist type site) that will come to your house and install everything for you. Same work, just dont have to pay the overhead for the shop. Or just drop the car off at their house. 3M, Xpel, Suntek all the same price.

I paid ~$900CDN for mine in Vancouver. I would think the US is cheaper, main cost should be the material.

The old one is 3m I think and had a 5 year warrantee. The guy that installed it is no longer in business. It was several hundred dollars less than the Xpel brand and at the time all I could swing.
