All, I have a sound that I’ve heard on all sorts of different cars I’ve driven. All related to age but have never ever been able to resolve it. It’s a slow rattle sound when going over bumps but not a sharp metallic rattle sound like shaking a spray paint can. It’s more of a dull hollow knocking that’s rather slow.

Best way I can explain it is if you imagine a missing bushing and a control around moving with so much play that it makes a knocking sound. Maybe that’s a wrong scenario but I hope you get the idea. I doubt that’s my issue as I have no vibrations or excess play in steering. Ride is still smooth otherwise.

It’s also only a few knocks until the suspension has settled from the bump. Sometimes it’s just one knock.

I have PSS coils. And relatively new ECS control arms and adjustable SPC uppers. I’m going to put the car in the air in a couple days to check it out but wanted to get some preliminary thoughts.

Sound is not loud enough to record but it just makes a rather well kept luxury sedan sound like a old minivan.

If anyone has experienced something similar please let me know.
