    H & R vs Vogtland

    Hello Everyone
I've been looking at springs and I have had some difficulty deciding on a set. I've been doing some reading - old threads, facebook groups, etc and I'm finding a lot of mixed reviews for H&R, and a lack of reviews on Vogtland springs. I've narrowed it down to these 2 as they provide a good bit of drop but seem to be comfortable (maybe). The 2 sets in question are:

    H& R Sport - 1.3in front, 1.25in rear Mfg#: 29059-1
    Vogtland Sport - 1.2in front and rear Mfg#: 950028

I was hoping someone has experience with both sets of springs. H&R Sports seem like they might be too stiff/bouncy and ruin comfortable ride quality. Vogtlands apparently ride comfortably and aren't much stiffer than stock, but I only came across a few reviews for them.

They would be going on a 2013 S5 3.0T, normal suspension (non ADS/Magnetic).

Really looking to retain some stock ride comfort.

    Thanks in advance!

I just installed bilstein shocks with eibach springs on 2014 s5(non ads). had researched the H&R springs and saw more negative reviews than positive for the reasons you noted. Bilstein b12prokit lowers the by 1 inch is about 10-15% stiffer i would say. Ride is still very comfortable and does not roll as much.

I did want to retain stock struts for now. My only gripe with eibach is the drop is not as significant. Good to hear they aren't much stiffer than stock though, I may have to reconsider.
