    Replacing Tires

Quick question for the group - I tried searching but couldn't find what I needed.

I got a dreaded bubble in my sidewall - ordered a new tire and got it put on late last week.

Question is - do I need to replace tires in pairs (I have the staggered set up)? I'm happy to do it - but didn't even think of it at the time and want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

I was that the tires need to be within 3/32 of each other (which makes sense, obvs you wouldn't want to run tires that are drastically different) or it puts stress on the AWD...or effects drive? I haven't noticed anything different about how it's driving.

I still need to measure the tread on the other tire. And no, the tire installer didn't say anything about this/the other tire needing replaced when they put it on.

    I appreciate your input :)

as long as the tires are close in tread depth you should be fine. i always try to stay within 2/32

ya if theyre close in tread depth nothing to stress.

I've got my stock summers collecting dust if you're interested. Up for grabs for a steal.

If you're at the early portion of the non-damaged tires' tread life then you wont notice too much other than possibly the protective film on the new tire that will wear off in a few hundred miles or so. Also, the fact that when the rest of your tires are toast, the new one will still have some tread. All depends on how many miles you have on the car. Being that this cars is relatively new, I would say you wont notice a difference other than mentioned (i.e. you don't have 20k miles on the car).
