Jhm stage 3 clutch

Hey guys I’m currently putting together all the parts I’ll need for my engine build.

I was looking at getting the stage 3 jhm clutch as I already have there stage 1

How do you guys like it ? How’s the peddle feel and drivability

Why not the ECS RS4 clutch conversion? It's 800 bones.

Are you big turbo? Built motor?

Yeah I’m already have jhm stage 3
And I’m building my motor this year

And I already have there stage 1 kit so I would just need a new disk and pressure plate from there stage 3 so I wouldn’t need a new flywheel

That setup states it's for an RS4 or S4 but the "vehicle selected" is for the 2.0T. Is it actually compatible? I guess it should work as long as the flywheel bolts up to the crank? Or is the pressure plate and disc sold separately and can work with the ltfw for the 2.0t?

I’m in aus so that’s almost like 2k + shipping and tax’s

But I think there stage 3 would hold up pretty good 🤷🏼*♂️

Pretty sure the stage 1 is rated to hold up to 400. How much more you planning to put down?

Jhm flywheel uses an RS4 clutch disk and pressure plate so their R series clutch should bolt right up.

What ever I can get out of the turbo kit lol who really knows how much power it can make

I think the r series is a bit out of my price range

Right, but the flywheel for the S4/RS4 is different from the A4 and I dont believe they sell the R series clutch and pressure plate separately.

The R disc I believe requires them to modify likely the flywheel as the plate depth is slightly different from OEM style to ACT style pressure plate. I measured some stuff when I had that pressure plate in my hand wanting to install it but at that time they were still developing and wouldn’t feed me the info so I could have just had the work done myself then installed it. They I know for a fact wanted to add the JHM R setup to the A4 plateform as power goes up.

I had a JHM stage 3 prior the the 850SS but wanted something a little more robust for strip abuse. The JHM stage 3 is a great clutch for a daily. The pedal weight is similar to a stock clutch in something like a camaro or corvette.

Yea. The torque comes in higher in the RPM range making it clutch friendly.

I already have there stage 1 clutch and stage 3 big turbo
And I launch it all the time with no worries at all

Probably got 100+ launches on it

Stage 1 is more than enough. We have hundreds of passes at the drag strip on our shop B7s with the stage 1 clutch
