    why would anyone hate you for a reasonable update to the crash bar? . Looks great. I did the same when replacing to the RS grill

    Multiple other threads of mine when I got new wheels and put the grille on in the first place, I didn't have the crash bar painted because of the cold weather. I finally caved and did it. That's why the title.

    Did you guys cleaned bar with isopropyl alcohol or used primer prior to paint or straight up paint?

    I used denatured alcohol, self etching primer followed by black paint...still chipped up fairly badly.

    That hurts my eyes to look at.

    Just use vinyl wrap. It is easy, faster to apply, and holds up MUCH better than paint.

    I just did the plastidip in a spray can, about 3 coats. Has held up great for like 4k miles I've had it and is more matte than most paint.

    Scotch brite on the bar, then brake clean, then wiped it down. The coating goes directly on any surface including aluminum, etc. I'll post an full pic later.
