    C5 A6/RS6 Rear Spindles/Uprights

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have some RS6 rear brakes that I tried to fit to my S6, but realized that the rear spindles/uprights are different on the S6 than the A6 and RS6. I'd like to get a set of rear spindles/uprights (bearing housings, bearings, wheel hubs) in good or better condition; please let me know if you have a set available.

I'm not sure if the A6 and the Allroad are the same... Maybe somebody will confirm. I'll do some research in the meantime.

The allroad is different. The caliper carrier bolt holes are spaced out further than the standard C5/A6. The upper control arm mount geometry is slightly higher as well.

    Thanks for confirming the difference!

    That's not quite true...
A6 V6, allroad V6 and V8, RS6 share the same steel rear knuckle and hub.

A6 V8 and S6 share the same rear aluminum knuckle and hub.

All V8 C5s except the allroad share the same front knuckle and hub.

Let's not cloud the facts. The allroad rear upright is a different part # for a reason. The geometry is not the same as an A6.

This link describes the caliper mounting geometry difference found on the allroad:
