S6 Stage 2 / Seems Slow .. question

Ran my Audi s6 Stage 2 at Audi v world

Mods:

EPL and TCU Stage 2
Apr downpipes
Stock sport exhaust
93 octane / stock weight
Driver 186 lbs (no passenger)
Some stuff in the back (maybe another 5-10lbs)

Will post time slip later but ran the following

60' - 1.631
330' - 4.787
1/8 - 7.447
MPH - 91.91
1000' - 9.756

ET - 11.709

MPH - 115.37

I did this fairly consistently

60ft pretty solid but I feel like this should be closed to 11.5 with that 60'

Trap speed also seems very low

Any ideas what could be going on? Feel like this more akin to a Stage 1 car.

That's not bad especially with Florida climate. There's a lot factors to consider :
- amount of gas in the tank
- time in between each run (cool down)
- tire pressure/rim size
- running stock intake?

It was hot; about 85 but I feel that the rs7s present were putting down good advertised numbers. Stage 3 s6 on 104 file ran 10.6..

Fuel about half tank
Stock intake
Stock 20" rim
I had some 20 min breaks and did this farely consistently about 4 times with funds between 11.7-11.80 all similar traps and fairly similar 60' (I can post slips)
Not sure bout tire pressure

Take a look at the list.. this is not slow, especially give the DA. Nice runs.

On a high octane file in a sub 1000 foot da I would agree. Take a minute to review the 1/4 list, you did just fine!

Do you think the D/A could literally shave 4 tenths of a second off the time? I'm looking at subarusti's time on 93 file with EPL Stage 2. He also had Roc Euro, Milltek DP, Milltek exhaust, and D/A 77, and did 11.34 @ 121.40

I wouldn't think that those subtle differences would shave that much time..

Similarly, looking at APRs Stage 2 Slip on the 93 Tune with just DPs posts 11.38 @ 121.81

And, while saxon's Unitronic Stage 2 did 11.65 on 93 octane (D/A not available). That was fairly comparable to my 11.70, but he trapped 120.81MPH vs. 115.37 and his 60' was 1.755 vs. my 1.631.

Brian's time was comparable to mine, but we have the same setup. So looks like relative to the above we are both trapping low.

The final time was Redmax, who was Stage 2 93, but lists no actual downpipe so I view that as simply the same as stage 1. His time was essentially the same as Brian and mines. Hence... why I feel like we are like stage 1.

Now let's hit he list of stage 1 times one 93 octane only from the list:

I have one of the best 60 foots of all of the above runs, yet I'm running times smack in the middle of the Stage 1s with the third lowest trap speed.

Just seems off to me..

MIght I add that most of the 93 files Stage 1s above are in DA > 1000 from the list.

Perhaps that is why everyone was looking at my with their eyes glazed over. I feel like these times are a little slow for Stage 2 with my 60' and NO passenger.

Oh right thanks mate. Wasn't there so if it was hot then I'd suspect it would reduce your cars performance. Does looks similar to stage 1 times.

Again, given the conditions 11.7 is quick. Would i have like to see an 1-2 mph faster...yes, but with out logs I can identify if thats car/tune/conditions.

This is not a bad showing for the first time to the track with the car.

Don ran a best of 10.3 @ 133 on 104 but RS7 cooling is far superior to stock S6 and he has a Forge cooler on his car.

Track was palm beach international raceway. February 25 was date. Runs between 3 and 4 pm. I think the specific time I referred was at 3:25 or something like that

Did you try calculating the DA for the track that day? 85 degrees can make an impact, but odds are it was the humidity that might have had the most impact. It should give more insight into your numbers.

I must say you have one hell of a 60' though. When I ran, my TCU tune wasn't finished yet so every run I made I ended up spinning through 1st and 2nd or even worse wheel spin when I just tried to mashing the gas. Like everyone else, I'm waiting for the weather to get better so I can make a proper run. It's still possible your car is stumbling on the top end, but either way an 11.7 in 85 degree heat is a good run.

I was looking at http://airdensityonline.com/ and it was saying after 2pm or so the DA was closer to 2000- I've found DA variances between 500-1800 have made little difference in the times my car ran. Only way for you to have known the possible cause of the car's performance (good or bad) was in logging it- you'll just have to go back and try again

I don't think it was the DA.. it was power loss issues pas the 1/8th Mile I think
