Your car's alternator and A/C compressor are connected by a belt and driven by the crankshaft pulley. Spinning these two additional necessary components draw precious horsepower from your engine. VEC used sophisticated CAD software as well as performing mass properties analysis and real world durability testing to design, engineer and test the VEC crank pulley. The result is reduced parasitic drag on the engine and increased horsepower without sacrificing alternator and A/C performance.

This kit includes a new under-drive crankshaft pulley and matching belt.

Like all our other VEC lightened pulleys, the new crankshaft pulley is made from 6061 T6 aluminum and anodized for durability. hard anodizing builds up a hardened layer over the base material to prevent wear.

Gains: 1.lighter than OEM crank pulley
    2. Billet aluminum 6061 T-6 material
    3. 20% under drive reduction that does not affect alternator and A/C compressor performance
    4. Balanced for smooth operation
    5. 5 - 7 horsepower increase in engine output was seen during chassis dyno testing
    6. Fully bolt-on design, no other modifications required
    7. Anodized for durability and appearance
